Black Culinary Culture in Early Toronto

Walking Tour
Mackenzie House's Black Culinary Culture in Early Toronto neighbourhood tour considers the influence of the Black community on food culture in Toronto from the 1830s- 1860s. From grocers, to caterers, to purveyors of fine dining, each of the individuals included represents a different aspect of foodways. Tour begins at the Northeast corner of King & Church Streets and ends at Mackenzie House, with a food tasting of Trinidadian snacks by Pelau Catering!
